About NELSONS //
Chris and Marieke welcome you for lunch, dinner or drinks in our new bar Nelson’s.
When the previous owner decided to sell Café Bar Verde after lockdown, we were so sad to see one of our favourite places go, so decided to buy it ourselves.
Because it was going to be something new, it also needed a new name. We have a lovely ginger and white tom cat named Nelson, who is totally obsessed with food, so the name felt fitting.
We have new international menus, a smart new interior (including Nelson’s VIP booth, complete with his own portrait!) and a great selection of some very special wines, beers and whiskies to whet your appetite.
Reclaimed metal art
We are displaying some amazing pieces of work, made by our friend and local artist Graham (Reclamarts). Most pieces are for sale (obviously not our resident bar mascot cat sculpture!). Graham makes pieces of art from scrap metal in an amazing variety of sizes and styles. His work is now selling all over the world, so we are very proud to show his work and lend him a ‘gallery’ space. Graham also contributed to our illuminated sign, which really was the icing on the (already fabulous!) cake.

Driftwood mirrors
The mirrors hanging in the bar are made by our friend and local artist, Andrew. They are all made from driftwood found at the shores of lake Iznájar and have a very unique style we are proud to display in the bar.

X-Trude 3D Creative 3D Printing
Not only did our friend Shane (X-Trude Creative 3D Printing) put his design and 3D-printing skills to excellent use in making the impressive illuminated letters for our sign, but he is also taking commissions for his work with the only limit being your combined imaginations.
Please ask us (or his Groot sculpture!) for details on how to turn your ideas into reality.

Sit down in Nelson’s V.I.P. booth and enjoy our international foods and wines.
